"OFF COLOUR"  was completed in 2012. This contemporary work is an original. The artist David Myers talks about his painting - "The distressed background and portion of the figure is contrasted with the vibrancy of the rest of the body. this dichotomy is further highlighted by the silver mirror bolts in the background. No brushmarks can be seen as the entire piece was painted with toothpicks - a technique I taught myself. The painting took me approximately 35 hours to complete. It is done using enamel and mixed media on a solid canvas.
